What we collect
- Account: your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a salted, one-way hash, so we cannot read them.
- Your games: your saved game, saved board, custom questions and game history, stored against your account so you can load them on any device.
- Download emails: an email address, only if you choose to give one when downloading or to be told about new versions.
- Messages: anything you send through the contact form, with your name and email if you provide them.
- Visits and downloads: your IP address, country, the page or file requested and the time, used for basic traffic statistics and to prevent abuse. These records are deleted after about 180 days.
- Payments: paid downloads are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we receive only your email address and the payment status.
How we use it
To run the website and the online game, sign you in, save your games, send the emails you asked for (password resets, email confirmation and new-version notices), answer your messages, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who processes it
The site runs on Cloudflare (hosting, storage and email sending). Payments are processed by Stripe. These providers handle data only to provide their service to us.
Cookies and local storage
We use a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in, and your browser's local storage to keep your game working offline. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your choices
- Delete your account and all its saved data any time from Account inside the game.
- Unsubscribe from new-version emails with the link in any of them.
- For anything else, use the contact form on the home page and we will help.
Children
Gameshow is a family game, but accounts are intended for people aged 13 and over. Children should use the game with a parent or guardian.
